Watch: Dean Wilson Rant After Being Taken Out, Injured in Vince Friese Incident
It's getting hard to track all the recent renditions of Vince Friese Incidents, from AMA Arenacross to the FIM World Supercross Championship (WSX), but Dean Wilson has become the latest victim, and he unleashed a massive rant on Vince on his social media this morning. Dean is now dealing with a shoulder injury after being taken out by Friese at WSX in Australia.
"Coming through the pack, trying to get around Vince, got around him, passed him nice and clean. He just didn’t even try to turn. He just completely drove it into me. A couple guys that were behind me said they’ve never seen anyone get hit so hard. Dislocated my shoulder and tore my labrum," said Wilson.
"I got hit really hard, didn’t see it coming, didn’t brace for it, nothing, because I had guys in front of me. There was no need for it. Typical Vince shit. Where’s the punishment? Where’s the penalty? Now a guy has gotten injured. Sucks. I was on a pretty good roll, and here we are. I’m going to just do therapy and figure out if I’m going to get surgery or not. I just think it’s bullshit."
This is not the first time Wilson and Friese have had run ins, there were several incidents early in Monster Energy AMA Supercross back in January. Wilson, though, is not alone. Check out this social media post from Arenacross, courtesy of Daniel Blair.

Also, yesterday we reported that Friese somehow raced in the Saturday WSX Superfinal even though he had not qualified, while Matt Moss, who had qualified, did not. We reached out to Moss for some clarification, he said the officials were basing the Superfinal lineup based on the results of the first two of the three WSX mains. Moss had moved ahead of Friese in the overall rankings after race three and thus earned his entry, but officials were still using print outs from only the first two races to seed riders into the Superfinal. Moss and his CDR Yamaha team thus lost out on points from having not competed in the Superfinal. The FIM declared that the results from Saturday's race, including Friese, will still stand.
