Supercrosser in the Woods?

Yamaha has revamped the off-road racing YZ250FX for 2025, utilizing the changes seen on the popular YZ250F motocross bike for 2024. To the new chassis and slimmer bodywork seen on the motocross model, the FX model adds off-road specific pieces like a slightly softer and lower suspension, a different intake, less rigid engine mounts, a kickstand, a larger fuel tank and an 18-inch rear wheel. Supercross privateer Justin Starling got the nod as our tester for the weekend at the Yamaha Ironman GNCC, the final round of the Progressive Grand National Cross Country Series. In a test day on Friday and a race on Sunday, he got a feel for the new bike and what life is like in the woods. Check it out!
